1. Optic
Adding a micro red dot sight will give you a huge advantage for a concealed carry pistol. If you haven’t used a red dot optic on a pistol you have to check it out.
A few benefits of using a red dot on a pistol are faster target acquisition, larger sight picture, and target focus instead of front sight focus. All are better for shooting more accurately and faster while maintaining good situation awareness.
The best micro red dot sight for the Sig is the Holosun EPS Carry.
Holosun EPS Carry
The Holosun EPS Carry is great for small sub-compact pistols like the P365X.
The EPS Carry is a small micro red dot with a mailbox design to protect the LED emitter, making this very rugged and reliable.

The optics are optimized for pistols like the P365X and are perfect for everyday carry.
The battery life is great, and the reticle system is next level.
I mounted this on the Hellcat and was set up as my daily carry. I put over 1,000 rounds through it in this configuration and found no single issue.
No hiccups or malfunctions, and the optic handles the recoil great without backing out or shifting zero.
I am now testing this on the Glock 43x MOS and the Hellcat, and it’s been working great.
This red dot comes with two different sets of lugs for mounting and is RMSc and K-Series compatible with the mounting plate.
I didn’t have any problems with mounting the EPS Carry, and once tightened down, the lockup was tight and felt rock solid.
When shooting the EPS Carry, I didn’t notice any distortion or red dot shift issues. It works just like you would expect a red dot to.
If you can find an EPS Carry in stock, it’s well worth the price, and I suggest it over anything else in this category.
It eliminates the hassle of getting your slide specifically milled to accept your red dot of choice.
The ESP Carry is a compact top-mounted enclosed emitter red dot that keeps all the reliability and function of the larger micro red dot sights designed for concealed carry on slim-line pistols.
This is one of my favorite and most recommended optics for a CCW pistol. To see the full in-depth review, click here.
Our Take
The Holosun EPS Carry is an excellent choice for a pistol optic. This micro red dot sight is well thought out and extremely easy to use with the Shake Awake technology. It is bright with a crisp red dot that is also easy to adjust. The enclosed emitter design adds strength and reliability and functions excellent.

2. Light
Let’s face it, you can shoot what you can’t see. Chances are if you ever have to use your pistol for self-defense, lighting conditionals may be less than ideal.
Lights nowadays are very compact, bright, and rugged.
The best light for the P365X is hands down the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub.
Streamlight TLR-7 Sub
The Streamlight TLR-7 is one of the brightest and most compact pistol lights available.
The TLR-7 Sub is the best light for the Hellcat and is the perfect balance of price to performance.

For a light of this size, the beam output is very impressive. This flashlight is a testament to how far this technology has progressed in recent years.
This light has a nice wide beam pattern with a focused hotspot in the center—very good light output with the spill.
The TLR-7 Sub isn’t designed for long distances but offers enough throw to identify targets at longer ranges.
This light is slim and compact. It is slightly longer than the TLR-7A but only a few millimeters.
The body is more rounded and skinny. It peers up perfectly with sub-compact pistols that are intended for concealed carry.
It is truly remarkable how small this light is; you barely notice it on your gun.
Battery changes are easy. Unscrew the lens to reveal the battery compartment. I like that it is front-loading, so you do not have to unmount the flashlight to change the battery.
After using this light for a reasonable amount of time, it is now permanently set up on my concealed carry pistol.
I haven’t had any problems or malfunctions with this flashlight. I think it is better than the Surefire x300 I am used to running because it is smaller and more versatile.
If a flashlight can have close to the same performance as a larger, more expensive option, I’ll take the lighter and more compact setup.
I was very impressed with the TLR-7 Sub and can see why it is now one of the most popular lights on the market.

Our Take
The Streamlight TLR-7 Sub is a reliable pistol weapon light designed for sub-compact pistols. It is powerful and bright while lightweight, compact, and easy to use. The switches are robust with a tactile positive feel with great feedback. It fits great on small concealable handguns and stays manageable while carrying.

3. Grip Module
Next up for the best P365X upgrades is a better grip texture. There are a few ways to get a better grip.
A new grip module with an improved ergonomic design will help keep the pistol secured firmly in your hand.
The best grip module for the P365X is the Wilson Combat Grip Module and it feels great.
Wilson Combat Grip Module
This grip module offers a better texture for more control and comfort.
The Wilson Combat grip module is the best overall grip module for the Sig P365X.
It is the best one I have tested and has the best price to performance ratio.

Installing these grip modules is quick and easy. The fire control unit on the Sigs is a genius design so installing won’t be a problem.
All in all, it took me 10 minutes to swap out the FCU into the new frame.
The only tricky part of the installation process is the magazine release. Just take your time and have a little patience.
The grip feels much better in my hands and I prefer a more aggressive ve on my pistol grips.
After shooting hundreds of rounds with it installed, my hands were a bit chewed up but I like knowing the pistol is secure in my palm.
For a carry gun, you might worry about shredding up your skin with the grip rubbing up against you all day. I always wear an undershirt to protect my skin so this isn’t a problem.
Another thing I like about this grip is the high beaver tail and grip angle. It feels more like a full-size pistol while being compact.
The combination of the little beefier grip, the high-cut beaver tail, and the texture make this grip feel great! Fills out my hand perfectly.
This is a huge improvement from the stock grips.
The aggressive texture on the front and back with great looking lines and grooves on the sides gives a solid feel.
It’s slightly wider than the standard grip and I love how the Wilson Combat grip module feels. Overall I recommend this to everyone who owns a Sig P365X.
Our Take
The Wilson Combat Grip Module is a great upgrade with an impressive texture that increases the control under recoil. This well-made and easy to install module feels much better in the hand. Overall a great upgrade to add to your P365X that is also very affordable.

4. Slide
If you want to take your P365X to the next level an aftermarket slide should be considered.
Custom slides are unnecessary for huge performance but give your pistol a unique look and feel. Features like compensators will help mitigate recoil.
The best slide for the Sig P365X is the Spectre Comp Slide Assembly.
Spectre Comp Slide Assembly
The Spectre Comp Slide is designed to be a direct replacement of the stock slide.
This is one of the best slide assemblies for the Sig P365X and has suppressor height sights.

- P365/P365XL/P365X
- Integrated Compensator
- X-Ray3 Day/Night Suppressor Sights
- Slide Cuts
- RMSc and 507K Footprint
Price Check: Optics Planet
This slide assembly is a complete package and comes with everything you need to swap out slides.
It uses the same barrel, frame, and fire control group as any other P365 and is a modular part.
If you have a smaller size pistol to begin with and are going to a bigger frame you will need a different guide rod and recoil spring.
The raised night sights are great to co-witness with a micro red dot optic or use as backups.
I love how the mounting footprint is forward of the rear sight you do not have to rely on only the red dot or the integrated rear notch sights on them.
I haven’t noticed any change to the accuracy much but the compensator on the muzzle did decrease the recoil while shooting.
The Spectre Comp slide is high quality and well made with an excellent fit and finish. Just wish it was a little cheaper.
If you don’t mind spending the money you will like this slide and is one of the best slide assemblies.
Overall this is a great choice for a carry build with better sights and recoil reduction. The Spectre Comp Slide is a great upgrade and love this on the P365X
Our Take
The Spectre Comp is one of the best parts that does everything well. The built-in compensator reduces the felt recoil even though it is not attached to the barrel. This tall suppressor height sights help significantly with aiming.

5. Barrel
Upgrading the barrel is another modification to think about. Unless you want to add a muzzle device you do not need a threaded barrel.
Some people like the idea of having one so they have the option to add one if they choose to in the future.
Besides being aesthetically pleasing, a match-grade barrel will increase the accuracy. On a compact pistol, it is hard to measure the gains though.
The best-threaded barrel for the P365X os the True Precision Barrel.
True Precision Threaded Barrel
An aftermarket barrel will give you more options for adding a muzzle device.
The True Precision Threaded Barrel is a great upgrade to the P365X.
True Precision Barrel Specs
Thread Pattern | 1/2×28 |
Material | 416R Stainless Steel |
Finish | PVD |
Length | 3.76″ Overall |
True Precision Threaded Barrel
- 1/2×28 Thread Pattern
- 416R Stainless Steel with 1-10 Twist
- 7 Color Options
- Improved Feed Ramp
- Increased Accuracy & Reliability
Price Check: Optics Planet, Primary Arms
This will fit the P365 (3.1″), P365 SAS, and P365X. Will NOT fit the XL 3.7″ pistols or 380ACP P365.
The True Precision barrel is more than just cool looking, It has an improved feed ramp that is polished for better reliability.
The threaded barrel will give you the ability to attach a suppressor or any muzzle device like a compensator.
The accuracy is slightly better but you may not even notice a difference.
In my testing, this barrel ran great with multiple types of ammo. Hotter self-defense loads cycled with no problem and cheap target ammo worked without any hiccups.
The fit and finish of these barrels are great. It dropped into the slide and fit perfectly.
The Barrel does extend slightly further than the factory barrel but I like how this looks on the gun.
Now the P365X isn’t the most practical gun to put a suppressor on but who am I to judge? Having the option is cool and let’s be honest, these barrels look great.
So if you have the money and want to customize the appearance of your pistol, I can appreciate that and I am not above spending money to make my guns look cool. I’m only human.
A threaded barrel would be the last upgrade I would make to the P365X, and you will notice the most increase in performance with the other accessories mentioned first.
With that being said, If you want to trick out your gun completely, the True Precision Threaded Barrel is the one I recommend.
Our Take
The True Precision Threaded Barrel is a drop-in barrel with great color options and an improved feeding ramp. It fits great and performs well but don’t expect a huge increase in accuracy and this is more of a cosmetic upgrade. I shot hundreds of rounds through mine with zero issues.

6. Holster
Your upgraded pistol is no good to you if you don’t have it when you need it, so a good holster is necessary.
The Alien Gear Holster is one of the most popular and best holsters for the P365X.
ShapeShift Holster
If you do not have a weapon light, then the Alien Gear Shapeshift Modular Holster Pack is the way to go.
For the most bang for your buck, the Alien Gear offers a 4 holster system that is modular and one of the best options for the P365X.

This holster is great for anyone who wants different carry positions without having to purchase a bunch of holsters separately.
If you want to carry your Hellcat concealed, they have a couple of options for CCW.
I also love that they include an OWB holster for open carry or winter carry for more comfort.
Also, if you are new to carrying a gun on you every day, you may need to try out different setups to see what works best for you.
With this kit, you have that option.
Alien Gear was one of the first companies to implement holsters made with leather and kydex for the best fit and comfort possible.
This is one of the best holsters for the Sig P365X.
Our Take
The Alien Gear ShapeShift Holster System is a great kit that allows you to change for different carry positions easily. The flexibility the carry pack gives you is overall a great way to save money long term. So anyone looking to try different styles and the ability to quickly switch between them, this is the best holster for your Sig.

Final Thoughts
From the factory, I like the Sig P365X bone stock. After adding these upgrades and accessories, I love it!
Not only does this pistol work great as a self-defense carry pistol, but it’s also fun to shoot at the range and show off.
If you can only choose one upgrade I would recommend the red dot.
