Why Get A Different Glock Slide?

The primary reason to upgrade your Glock slide is to accommodate a red dot optic. Red dots on pistols are becoming very popular and have many benefits.

If you do not already have an optic cut on your slide, then you have two options. Sending your slide to a custom slide shop to cut the slide or purchase a new slide.

I recommend purchasing a new slide because it is more cost-effective, and you will still have the original slide with no modifications.

You can get a custom slide finish and different slide serrations when getting a different slide. This will increase the slide’s usability, and you can get one that suits your needs and preference.

Best Glock Slides

One concern many people have with even thinking about replacing a slide on their gun, especially Glocks, is that the gun will still function properly and safely.

The good thing is that all the aftermarket slides mentioned below are safe and function properly. Your gun will operate even better in most cases.

For extremely light slides, you may need a heavier recoil spring for the pistol to cycle properly.

All the slides I link to are for the G19 because it is the most popular Glock model, these slides are available in different models in generations, but you will have to select your specific model at the checkout page.
