Best M&P M2.0 Slide
If you do not have an optics-ready version of the pistol and want to add a red dot, then you will need an aftermarket slide.
Even if you do not plan to add a red dot optic, an aftermarket slide is great for giving your pistol a custom look and feel.
Most aftermarket slides will have forward serrations, lighting cuts, and side cuts to make the slide lighter and cycle faster, and give the pistol better ergonomics.
If you go with a very light slide, you may need to purchase a heavier spring to prevent malfunctions.

Best M&P M2.0 Sights & Optics
Next up on the upgrade list is a better rear sight and front sight. Like most pistols, the M&P M2.0 comes with standard three-dot sights.
Adding a night or fiber optic sight will be easier to see at nighttime or if your eyes aren’t that great.

Best M&P M2.0 Muzzle Brake
Now that you added a threaded barrel, you can add a muzzle brake, and I am assuming you have the 9mm version of this pistol.
Some people think these are unnecessary, especially on a 9mm, and I beg to differ.
Adding any part to a firearm that will make it function better is good. Yes, a 9mm doesn’t have much recoil, but taming it, even more is a benefit.
Also, a muzzle brake will make the pistol less snappy and give you more accurate follow-up shots.

Great read. I just got a smoking deal on a 2.0 Compact 4” from my pistol trainer at our local range. 4 mags and a LAG IWB/OWB non light bearing holster for 400$. It’s also got new 3 dot night sights on it. First thing I did was order the Apex flat face trigger kit. I’ve done lots of glock and Springfield gunsmithing but this one was a bit more complicated. After a good video and an hour we’re we’re ready to roll and wow what a difference it made. Only thing that’s lame is the safety plunger is not captured by the extractor as in my Hellcat and glocks it’s held by the rear sight and I was having issues getting it off even with my rear sight removal tool. That’s the only thing I’ll need to have a smith take care of as I don’t have a vice but thought that was a bad design and also the extractor looks to be held by a roll pin making cleaning difficult. Mine is non optics cut but overall shooting great and is smaller than my Glock G 45 and a bit bigger than my Hellcat pro. I love it!! It’s my new dresser gun. Also getting some
