Custom Karambit Knife – Review
Does anyone have a Karambit? Here are my thoughts…
This is a review of a custom karambit knife that was hand made by Tim Landini. This happened to be my first experience with one of these style knives and so far I like it very much. Also, it looks freaking awesome!
let’s start off with the specs this knife is made out of 1095 steel and it also has black G10 grips and has brass pins securing them to the knife. It does have a large finger hole at the butt end of the knife which makes this very comfortable while holding in the hand.
The overall design is slim and low profile. I’m amazed at how light it is and its a dream to carry.
This was sent to me while I was deployed overseas in Kuwait (I know…I know) I carried this knife for a few months and I could say that I’m thoroughly impressed.
It’s sharp! It’s actually sharpened on both edges of the blade and it has a very pointy tip on it, which makes it ideal for slicing. I have seen a few different knives like this before, however, the inside portion of the blades were never that sharp. This karambit impressed me with this as well.
The knife maker also made a custom Kydex sheath that he included with it which was awesome. I carried this knife in its Kydex sheath and I also attached a Blade-Tech, Tech-lok, and carried it inside the waistband.
It is very comfortable to carry and I barely noticed that I even had it on me. I actually love this style a knife for anybody that is interested and wants to follow his work, go ahead and check out Tim’s social media pages, here is his Facebook Page and also his Instagram Page.
He makes many different designs and styles of knives and his work is very impressive. So if you appreciate handmade knives or just want to follow or even purchase one of his designs send him a message and let him know.
