Adding these CZ Bren 2 upgrades and accessories will allow you to get the most out of this rifle and unlock its full potential.
This article will cover the best CZ Bren 2 upgrades and accessories.
What Is A CZ Bren 2?
CZ has updated the original Bren 805 and made a lot of internal and external improvements to the platform. They currently offer this weapon in a pistol configuration and a carbine configuration.
The 805 Bren was designed to a specific set of requirements set out by the Czech military, the Bren 2 is a clean-sheet design. With a bevy of changes, the most noticeable is sure to be the strict weight-loss regimen that the Bren 2 has undergone.
With a trimmed-down aluminum receiver and a lower made from carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, the result is a robust but substantially lighter gun.
Gone is the reciprocating charging handle, replaced with one that stays stowed in the forward position until it is needed.
Swappable from side to side, it does double duty as a forward assist. Also added is an AR-style bolt catch/release system that is mirrored on both sides of the firearm, as well as a catch/release nestled into the front of the trigger guard.
The magazine release and safety are also ambidextrous and located in very familiar locations for anyone versed in the AR platform.
Chambered in 223 and 7.62×39, each is available in several barrel lengths. AR-15 style magazines are used for 223 variants, whereas in 7.62, the factory’s magazines ensure last-round hold-open and consistent feeding.
All variants are swappable to different barrel lengths and chamberings and also feature a modular forend that can be swapped to different lengths.
In pistol form, the Bren 2 Ms comes with a flush rear plate that has the provision for attaching an AR-style buffer tube for the installation of an arm brace, cheek rest, or similar pistol stabilizing device.
For those who wish to SBR, a Carbine buffer tube and stock can be installed, or the entire rear plate can be removed and replaced with a factory folding/adjustable stock.
Where To Purchase A CZ Bren 2?
If you do not already own a CZ Bren 2, your best chance is to find one online. Every gun store in my area has not had any of these in stock, but your location may differ.
Ordering one online and sending it to your local FFL is the easiest way to pick up one of these awesome guns. Here is a link to the CZ Bren 2 if you want to order one.

Best CZ Bren 2 Upgrades & Accessories
All of the parts mentioned below will work for all CZ Bren 2 variants, so if you have one in 5.56mm or 7.62x39mm, these upgrades and accessories will be compatible. Also, the pistol version and rifle version will accept these parts.
If upgrading the pistol version, make sure you do not convert it to a short barrel rifle (SBR) without following all of the laws surrounding it.

Best CZ Bren 2 Stock & Adaptor
If you are starting out with the pistol version and want to legally SBR it, you will be able to add a stock.
Make sure you follow all of your area’s federal and state laws and your SBR stamp and paperwork are approved before adding a stock.
Or, if you don’t like the stock that comes on the CZ Bren 2 carbine version, you can always swap it out.
A3 Tactical Rear Stock Adapter
The A3 Tactical Rear Stock Adapter for the CZ Bren 2 will allow you to add a folding stock system to your gun.
It comes in a two-pin version and a Picatinny rail version, so make sure they are compatible depending on what stock you want.
Machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and hard anodized, this rear stock adapter replaces the original end plate on your CZ Bren 2.
This adapter allows the use of our modular line of stocks and can also be configured with the Picatinny rail to adapt any side folding stock (or arm brace) designed for use on Picatinny mounts.
The bolt pattern and locating lug on the rear of the adapter provide a positive modular mounting platform for a wide variety of currently available stocks and any future A3 Tactical stocks currently in development.

A3 Tactical Skelestock Skeleton Stock
The A3 Tactical Skelestocks are fixed-length skeleton stocks machined completely from 6061 aluminum.
They are available in two lengths: 9.50in and 11.00in. They are also available with three different hinge options. The hinges fold right or left depending on how you mount the hinge. See hinge details below.
Each stock comes with a 1/2in polymer cheek rest, 90 durometer Neoprene buttpad, and one steel, full rotation QD lug that can attach in 2 different locations on the right or left of the stock.

Best CZ Bren 2 Foregrip
There are a bunch of different options for a foregrip, and a lot of it comes down to personal preference.
I like using and recommend angled foregrips compared to vertical foregrips. I think they are more comfortable and make more sense to have a proper shooting stance and grip with your none dominant hand.
A3 Tactical CZ Bren 2 MS Angled Foregrip
The A3 Tactical Angled Foregrip is a direct bolt-on AFG for the OE handguard on the Bren 2 MS pistols.
CZ designed the OE handguards with only one small M-LOK slot making it very difficult to install a universal angled foregrip.
Additionally, the rail surface is uneven, requiring a stepped surface for mounting. We utilized one M-LOK nut and one rail screw to retain our foregrip.
Easy 10-minute install with supplied wrenches and hardware. Manufactured from MJF Polymer.

Best CZ Bren 2 Optics
This very capable platform can be used in many different scenarios. I recommend using a red dot sight if you plan on using this primarily as a home defense gun.
If you want more of a “do it all” gun, then adding a low power variable optic (LPVO) is what I recommend. Regardless of what you decide, all of the optics I list are of great quality and will work great on the CZ Bren 2.
Choosing between them depends on personal preference and the intended purpose for which you want the CZ Bren 2 to be used.
Best CZ Bren 2 Red Dot
If you want the fastest sighting option, then a red dot is the way to go. They are quick and allow you to threat focus/target focus instead of focusing on the front sight like you would on traditional iron sights.
If you want some magnification to be added to your red dot, then a magnifier is a great option and gives you the best of both worlds.
There are three primary red dots that I recommend.
- Aimpoint Pro
- Trijicon MRO HD
- EOTech EXPS3
Aimpoint Pro
One of the best possible red dots that you can get for the CZ Bren 2 is the Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic or the Aimpoint Pro for short. This 30mm red dot is insanely reliable and has an extremely long battery life.
The high-efficiency circuitry built into them gives you three years of constant illumination on a single battery. It is nice because you can just leave the optic on, and it is always ready to go at a moment’s notice.
It comes with a QRP2 mount that is integrated into the red dot that will attach to your Picatinny rail and can be securely mounted without any special tools. Just tighten the knob by hand until you hear three clicks, and it’s good to go and will not shift your zero.
Flip-up lens covers are included, which will protect the glass.
The dot is a 2 MOA-sized dot that is very crisp with no distortion. A parallax-free scope is among the best in quality, durability, and reliability. It is also waterproof.
The Aimpoint Pro is night vision compatible, can also be used alongside a 3x magnifier, and performs very well.

Best CZ Bren 2 LPVO
LPVO scopes are becoming very popular, and even the U.S. Army has started to issue them on their new rifles. They are a great option if you want a good rounds rifle that can engage targets to close but also reach out a little further.
They are still not as fast as a red dot at 1x but are still very quick. Remember that you will also need a good quality mount for a scope.
There are three LPVO scopes that I recommend for the CZ Bren 2.
- Vortex Razor Gen II-E
- Sig Sauer Tango 6T
- NightForce NX8
Vortex Razor Gen II-E 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope
Sig Sauer Tango 6T 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope
Night Force NX8 1-8x24mm Rifle Scope
Best CZ Bren 2 Scope Mount
Once you decide on a scope, you will need a solid way to mount it on your CZ Bren 2. Just make sure that you get the proper ring size. In most cases, it will be either a 30mm or 34mm tube size.
Geissele Super Precision Scope Mount
One of the best scope mounts that I recommend is the Geissele Super Precision Scope Mount. This is my go-to mount for all of my scopes and is truly the best on the market.
It will hold zero and stand up to the recoil of firing without any issues. These are very well-made and precise, so no lapping is needed for the rings.
These mounts are available in either 30mm or 34mm tube diameter, as well as a variety of lengths, including standard, extended, and hyperextended. This allows you to get the perfect length for your chosen scope, ensuring it fits on your rifle easily.
While these scope mounts use the classic nut and bolt method for clamping to the Picatinny rail. This means they are more secure, as each nut and bolt combination provides 1,400 pounds of clamping force, which is more than any lever mounting arrangement.
It also spans 7 Picatinny sections and uses four shear lugs to ensure the scope stays steady and zeroed even after repeated firing.

Best CZ Bren 2 Light
For any serious battle rifle or self-defense gun, you need a good weapon light. It needs to be reliable and bright.
There are a lot of good options on the market nowadays for weapon lights, but I always go back to the tried and true one.
SureFire M600 Ultra Scout Light
Being able to identify your target and crucial, and if it’s dark, you will need a weapon light.
The Surefire M600 is my go-to for this. It is bright, reliable, and has the option to add a tape switch with a pressure pad for momentary on and off.
These have been around a while and are still trusted as one of the best weapon lights.

Tail Cap Pressure Pad
They make a Tail Cap Pressure Pad with a button on it, which will let you have a constant on and off button.
With this switch, you can have the most efficient ergonomic light setup and will not have to move your hand to activate it. This will stop you from breaking your shooting grip.

Arisaka Defense Inline Scout Mount
I mount this on my handguard using the Arisaka Defense Inline Scout Mount. It’s slim and rock solid.
It takes up minimal rail space and is MLOK, so you can easily attach the Surefire M600 to the CZ Bren 2.

Cloud Defensive LCS Mount
I have the tape switch running to a Cloud Defensive LCS Mount that works absolutely great. I am super happy with this setup and believe it’s the best solution for mounting a weapon light with a pressure pad.
Having a good weapon light on a rifle is one of my favorite CZ Bren 2 upgrades and accessories.

Best CZ Bren 2 Sling
You need a sling to secure your rifle to your body, and if you plan on doing any serious tactical or running and gunning.
Personally, I recommend a good two-point sling for a rifle like the CZ Bren 2. It is the best option and will allow you to transition to a pistol smoothly.
Blue Force Gear Vickers Padded Sling
One of the best slings I have ever used is the Blue Force Gear Vickers Sling. It is the best quality sling that is the most functional.
This QD version has push-button attachments that make switching mount points or even rifles quick and easy.
A pull tab allows you to tighten or loosen the sling on the fly quickly.
They make this sling in a few different colors and camo patterns, and the quality is top-notch. This sling is durable and rugged and will last very long.
If you still do not own a good quality sling, then now is a good time to make the investment and pick one up.

Best CZ Bren 2 Magazines
Having extra magazines is a must for any rifle. The good thing about the CZ Bren 2 is that it takes standard AR-15 style mags.
Magpul PMAG Gen 3 w/ Window
I personally like using the Magpul PMAGs Gen 3 with the window.
These magazines are very consistent and fit into mag wells perfectly. They feed reliably and are fairly priced. (Even in today’s market)
I also like to stock up on PMAGs when I can.

Best CZ Bren 2 Ammo
You will always need more ammo, and with prices at a high, the best idea is to better it whenever you see a sale or buy in bulk.
5.56mm is pretty common and the same as 7.62x39mm, so it’s normally easy to find.
Be sure to click the links and check the current prices and availability of the ammo because prices always change.
Final Considerations
I have seen a few companies start to make aftermarket lower receivers for these guns. They are usually made of aluminum and will allow you to add your favorite AR-15 style of pistol grip and trigger group to the CZ Bren 2.
Before swapping out the lower receiver, make sure you have shot many rounds through the CZ Bren 2 and have enough trigger time to decide if this is something you want to upgrade.
I personally like and am used to the standard CZ Bren 2 lower receiver.
