This list is the Top 5 things I recommend doing to your pistol. It doesn’t matter if you use this pistol for concealed carry or just general self-defense, all of the upgrades mentioned will improve upon the Glock 43X.

1. Optics
Luckily there are a lot of different optics available that will work great on the Glock 43X.
With that being said, I recommend the Aimpoint ACRO-P2 if you want the very best. This does require extensive modification to mount though.
A custom slide cut and mounting plate will be required, lots of custom shops offer this modification though.
If you want to save a little bit of money and way a more traditional style micro red dot sight, the Holosun EPS Carry is my second recommendation.
Aimpoint ACRO-P2
The Aimpoint ACRO-P2 is the best pistol red dot for the Glock 43X.
First, let me say this optic pairs up perfectly with the 43x. It doesn’t extend too far out on the sides while still giving a good, viewable red dot.
This optic is a newer one on the market and it’s built like a tank.
The over-construction and durability make this optic seem indestructible.
The ACRO utilizes an enclosed emitter and tube-style micro red dot.
It uses a 3.5 MOA red dot that is in the “sweet spot” for the best combination of speed and accuracy.
The battery life is insane. It has a 2-year battery life and the battery mount is on the side.
This means that you do not have to remove the entire optic to change the battery and lose your zero.
There are two simple buttons on the side for brightness adjustment which is simple and works without any issues.
There are 4 night vision-compatible settings and 6 daylight settings.
There is no shake awake feature or motion awake, but with the Aimpoint, it’s not needed because you can trust the long battery life.
Leaving it always on is the best situation. Less things to go wrong.
If you are new to red dots on pistols, it might take a while to get used to drawing and presenting the firearm and quickly picking up the red dot with your eye.
This is improved with practice and repetition.
The ACRO seems natural on this pistol.
The downsides of this optic are that it is expensive and the viewport is too small for some people.
With poorer vision, the tube you’re looking through can seem small.
It’s a red dot. This happens to be the best pistol red dot for simplicity and reliability.

Holosun EPS Carry
The most popular optic for the Glock 43X would have to be the Holosun EPS Carry. This is a great option for half the cost of the ACRO.
Holosun has quickly made a name for themselves in the firearms community. They have been proven reliable and cost half as much as competitors.
This has a great battery compartment design that allows you to change the battery without removing the optic.
This will let you keep your zero, but you will not have to change the battery often.
Depending on what setting and reticle you have, the battery life will last 12,000 to 50,000 hours.
It has a 6 MOA dot which is good for fast target acquisition.
The Shake Awake technology works as intended and the light optic is durable. Overall, for the price, it’s hard to pass up.
It comes in two different colors. A 2 MOA dot size and a 6 MOA dot size. Also, a multi-reticle system that is a 2 MOA dot and a 32 MOA circle.

2. Trigger
The stock Glock 43X trigger isn’t good and your accuracy and speed will improve with a new aftermarket trigger.
Just about every gun I get, I upgrade the trigger. It is the most critical upgrade to improve your shooting ability with the gun.
I always upgrade my Glock triggers on all of my models. Some people don’t mind the standard trigger but I recommend doing yourself a favor and getting something better.
The best trigger for the Glock 43X is the Overwatch Precision Trigger Kit.

The Overwatch Precision Trigger Kit is a great upgrade to the factory Glock 43X trigger.
Installation is simple and can be done quickly.
The pre-travel is reduced and the pull is so much smoother with this trigger kit. This will also shorten the reset and lighten up the trigger pull.
It’s the perfect balance of price and performance.
This will improve your shooting and make it a better overall pistol for concealed carry.
It’s a great trigger that is also affordable.

3. Holster
Glocks are popular if not the most popular selling pistol in America. So you have lots of holster options.
This is kind of a “do-it-all all” pistol optimized for everyday carry.
I’m guessing you will accumulate multiple holsters for the Glock 43X. Two great options I suggest are the Galco and Alien Gear holsters.
They both offer IWB and OWB in plenty of different configurations.

Some people are still into leather holsters and I’m one of them. Sure I love Kydex molded hosters but the quality and feeling of a good leather holster is hard to beat.
In the colder months with more layers of clothing, I mostly use a Galco Leather Holster.
They specialize in leather holsters and make great quality products.
The Glock 43X will most likely be for concealed carry, and an IWB holster is what most people will get.
They do make OWB holsters for the 43x, too.

Alien Gear Holsters are also a perfect option for the Glock 43X.
These are hybrid holsters made with a soft material against the body and a hard mold of the pistol.
Perfect fit and comfort.
Their IWB holster has more material but is one of the most comfortable for carrying a gun.

4. Grip Sleeve
Another great Glock 43X upgrade is a better grip. Because of the polymer frame, there isn’t much to do besides a grip sleeve or grip tape.
I have used both options, and they both work, but I prefer grip tape.
It adds a nice grip texture but doesn’t add bulk to the pistol, which is vital for concealed carry.
Go with grip tape if you do not want finger grooves.
Hogue Grip Sleeve
A quick fix is the Hogue Grip Sleeve. They are relatively cheap and they work great.
Some people do not like the aesthetics these make but if you only care about function then the grip sleeve improves your control with the pistol.
This is a rubber semi-stretchy material that slides over the pistol grip. It may take some effort and they can be tight to get on. This is what you want though.
The Hogue grip sleeve will add bulk to the pistol, which is the only downside.

Talon Grip Tape
My go-to solution for improving the grip is Talon Grip Tape. This product works exceptionally well on concealed carry pistols because it adds no extra bulk.
I have used these on a lot of pistols and they last a long time and don’t wear down too quickly.
They are cheap and the price-to-performance increase is the best thing about Talon Grips.
They make two different materials, and I suggest the “rubberized” version.
These grips give the perfect combination of rubber and texture feel and work great with sweaty hands.
They are super affordable, and if you have never tried these on any pistol, you are missing out.

5. Light
Having a high-powered and capable flashlight attached to your Glock 43X is necessary. You can’t shoot what you can’t see.
This is the most common light setup on the Glock 43X and many companies make holsters that accommodate this light.
Adding a good light will allow you to see your target clearly and even slightly disorientant an adversary.
The best light for the Glock 43X is the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub.

The Streamlight TLR-7 Sub is a very popular pistol light that is the perfect mix of brightness and reliability.
I really like the brightness of this weapon light, it’s not too bright either. The perfect amount you would need to identify targets at night.
So far it’s held up great and has been reliable. This thing is made well and you can tell when you have it in your hand.
It was easy to install on the Glock 43x and I didn’t have any issues.

Don’t forget to stock up on ammo. 9mm Ammo is very common; chances are you don’t have enough or can use more.
I always recommend everyone have at least 1,000 rounds per caliber they own at minimum.

I believe the Glock 43X is one of the best guns you can have for concealed carry and self-defense.
It can have a modern sight and flashlight which are both important for accuracy and target identification.
More ammo in the same size small package is great for extra firepower and not feeling outgunned.
